Located in M Block Market, GK1, Tanoshii Trail is a newbie in the vicinity and what makes it stand apart from the others is it’s “conveyor belt system”. You receive your order on a conveyor belt just in the same way as you receive your luggage at the Airport. Yes, you read that right!
After engaging in a conversation with the staff members , I learnt that the reason behind launching this concept was to help ease the ordering experience; i.e, you don’t have to keep waiting for your order and you get time to enjoy with friends/family. The chef keeps sending in different labelled and priced dishes on the belt and you could pick whatever you like. The other concept, which intrigued me the most was ,the one that is getting popular these days, ordering food via a Tablet.
I also got to know that a lot of research was done on the current food trends in Delhi, before the owners came up with this place. During the research, they found out that these days, people have started liking and are willing to explore Japanese cuisine, which wasn’t the case a few years ago.
LET’S TALK ABOUT WHAT THEY HAVE TO OFFER ON YOUR PALATE
They have a huge variety of Asian, Japanese, Thai, Malaysian and Chinese.
Here’s what I had
Watermelon Basil Punch: Watermelon based drinks are always refreshing in summers, though I wish that it had no seeds in it.
Virgin Sangria: Was quite fruity and refreshing.
Thai Twister: Did not like this one as it had too much of lemongrass in it.
Chicken Manchow soup: One of my favourite and am glad it was done well.
Konjee crispy chicken: Was crispy enough but lacked the punch.
Veg Dimusms: Was just about the usual that you’d get at any other place.
Chicken Dimsums: Liked the fact that the chicken would get cooked to perfection.
Spinach Wrapped Dimsums: I’ve never had such a variety of dimsum before, and it’s a must try if you are seeking to explore a gamut of dimsums.
Assorted Non-Veg Nigiri: Nigiri is something I am very fond of, especially when it comes to Japanese delicacies and I am glad that Tanoshii gave me a great experience for savouring it.
Kung Pao Chicken: If you like Kung Pan, I can assure you that Tanoshii won’t disappoint you. 🙂
Deep Fried Bean Curd Skin Rolls: The name sounds fancy, right? Well, so is the dish! I’d never had this before, was a little over crispy as I couldn’t really taste the fillings inside.
Seafood Pad Thai: A yummy bowl full of Seafood Pad Thai was the “Star Dish” of the eve for me. 🙂
Brownie with Ice Cream: This was a bit of a disappointment as the brownie was hard, instead of being soft.
